What Products Are available from Zeus Fencing Systems ?

Are Zeus Fencing Systems products certified to meet Australian Standards?
All Zeus Fencing Systems are provided with certificates establishing their passing of ALL Australian / New Zealand standards for the Toughened Safety Glass (Australian Certificate) and All Fittings. Zeus Fencing Systems also provide an additional Certificate of Engineering and Batch Testing
What Thickness of Glass is Available ?
Glass Sizes available are 8mm,10mm for Semi Frameless (spaghetti style),10mm For Zeus APOLLO Range and 12mm & 15mm for Frameless
What Glass Panel Heights are available ?
Standard Panel Height is 1200mm with other panel sizes available in the following heights for balustrading 870mm, 950mm and 970mm.
What is the Range of Glass Panels which are Available ?
There is also a wide range of Gates in all approximately 240 various standard panel sizes available. We can also manufacture panels to any individual size or shape and various colours.
Why does Zeus Fencing Systems use 10mm increments in glass panels while your competitors use 100mm ?
We use 10mm increments for two reasons. The first is for the safety benefits as discussed in post design (click here) by having the maximum amount of glass into Semi-Frameless Posts.
The second reason is that a better aesthetic finish can be achieved as it allows for more precise fitting and alignment of materials when meeting a customers requirements ( Click here for Example ).
What is the size of Gates Zeus Fencing Systems has available ?
There is a wide variety of gate sizes available the most common being 875mm for Semi Frameless (Spaghetti Style) due to Limitations on post being able to meet safety requirements.
A 1000mm (1 Meter ) Gate is standard for Zeus Fencings Apollo Range and Frameless due to there superior support structure.
Please note all hinges and fittings are specifically designed and tested for Pool fencing and are worlds best practice. They are not adapted shower hinges (common hydraulic designs )or side gate furniture that are designed and tested for lower standards. Our D&D Technologies hinge has completed 1,000,000 cycles of testing before going on sale to the public.
This is something you need to be very specific about when talking to fencing contractors and always insist on a written guarantee to protect your family .
Why do your Frameless Fences Have Gate Posts Unlike some competitors ?
All Zeus Fencing Systems Frameless Fences have Fence posts due to a requirement in the Australian Standards, that one Panel is not to be dependant on another.
While some certifiers have been known to turn a blind eye to this, we do not consider the legal charges, prosecution and Monetary risks, should an accident
occur at your property, due to non Australian Standards work worth the risk. Now that the Government is set on the path of annual inspections,
those that are found to be none compliant leave themselves open to considerable fines and rectification costs (up to $2000.oo Per Gate ).
Have you overcome the problem of gate alignment that competitors suffer ?
Yes. Due to the number of fences we install and the vast data base we have built up we can tell you the number one reason for maintenance is gate alignment.
This is an issue we have invested a considerable amount of time and money in solving. Clients can be safe in the Knowledge they are getting a superior set-up that is structurally stronger than the other similar systems available, we also have specific placement rules for gates, this gives you peace of mind, not just for reliability but more importantly safety.
We back this with an industry leading Gate Warranty. It is Our Understanding that this is the only way a Semi Frameless Gate can meet Australian standards in the open position.
( A leading cause of gate problems is the lack of stability in the open position. )
Is the Glass Supplied Safety Glass ?
Yes all glass supplied is for Tempered Safety Glass (On rare occasions other methods are employed for making Safety Glass) with a certificate from an Australian Conformance Company as verification, ensuring your Fence meets all government guidelines.
What is the most common height of Fence when completed and why ?
The Most common height for Pool fencing is 1250mm Leaving a 50mm Air gap below panels.
This ensures there is room to clean around panels and mow in grassy areas without allowing most children's balls to go under the fence, so you do not have to be continually retrieving them. Balustrades are at a similar height, as one of the benefits of glass is that you can have the higher level of safety protection without compromising you view. As a secondary option 1000mm is the next most common height.
What are gate fittings made of and their place of manufacture ?
Gate Hinges Are Made of 316 Stainless Steel (Generically called Marine Grade) manufactured in Australia or the Optional D&D Technologies Visage system, this includes all internal working and springs, while all latches and gate stoppers are made in Australia by D&D Technologies a world leader in these systems.
Please note the 316 Stainless Steel Hinges do not face the same dangers of anaerobic oxidization faced by competitors frameless clamping systems due to their placement.
What are the posts made of and their place of manufacture ?
Posts can be manufactured from Aluminum Alloy (Semi Frameless (spaghetti style)), Galvanized or Plated Steels ,or Stainless Steel for Apollo system and Frameless Gates.
All Zeus Fencing Systems posts are manufactured in Australia / NZ for the build Quality and peace of mind this brings. Once again a certificate is provided to verify this.(See Post Design)
What colours are available for Zeus Fencing Products ?
The Standard Powder Coating colours are Precious Silver and Satin Black for Semi Frameless and Apollo Systems ,with Bonded silver as the Preferred Frameless Clamp.These are chosen for their ability to disappear and blend with your environment maximizing the potential of glass. There is also a wide range of other colours at extra cost along with other coating methods and stainless steel finishes.We also Offer anodized posts and fittings in a range of colours and finishes.
Are different styles of balustrade available ?
Yes .There is a wide range of style available that an Icarium Consultant will be more than happy to explain the benefits of .
Is Australian Powder Coating Used ?
Yes. This provides you with a safe and secure way of dealing with any warrantee issues that happen to arise.
We Believe it is the use of home grown powder coating that Zeus Fencing prefers, which means we have never had a powder coating quality issue since it's inception. All Anodized posts, fittings and frameless Spigot (clamps) are completed in Australia also.
Due to Layout of our property we are having problems deciding on placement of fence can Zeus Fencing Help ?

It is always a better option to speak to a consultant before flooring is attached to the Framework as due to it's weight and wind loading factors

Yes. In Most Cases Zeus Fencing Systems due to it's experience will be able to provide a very cost effective solution to these issues.
What colours and finishes of glass are available?
Standard Panels are polished clear. Green ,Blue ,Grey (referred to as black) and dark grey, are available at extra cost.
Opaque / Frosted Glass in Clear and coloured is also available. If a specific colour is required we can also use bonded 2-pak as seen on glass splash backs
Why do you recommend Zeus Fencing Systems Apollo range ?
The Simple answer it is the superior semi-frameless system available to the public for strength, safety, aesthetic value and warranty. It will be the most cost effective decision you can make to improve upon the common semi frameless spaghetti systems. This is why it is most commonly installed in multi million dollar homes where Frameless was not an applicable choice. Is there a longer warranty for Zeus Fencing System Products ?
Yes the warranty for Zeus Fencing Systems Products is greater than on the Range of Semi-Frameless (spaghetti Style )of fencing due to its higher strength.
All Zeus Fencing System Products are engineered to higher levels than the Australian Standards used by competitors as they are sold in the international market
and must meet more stringent international standards and the Liability Laws that come with this.
Does Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel require maintenance ?
Yes. All Non Zeus Fencing System stainless steel products will require maintenance.
This being regular cleaning and polishing or tea-staining can result and an almost impossible to remove rust coloured stain (see Picture here).
Loss of exterior quality due to Oxidization of the outer layer will result anytime this maintenance is not carried out. Zeus Fencing products are made from 316L Stainless Steel at a minimum surgical grade. Installation is very critical with frameless systems, as anaerobic oxidization can result if not performed correctly destroying your glazing clamps relatively quickly. Please note that terms such as Superior & premium grade are just marketing terms and are not a reference to any international standard. Therefore as anyone with a boat or even stainless steel pots and pans will tell you stainless steel is anything but maintenance free.
Please note - you need to consider this is in your fencing placement as you need access to the parts needing regular upkeep.
Is there a lot of cleaning involved with glass fencing ?
In most cases the answer is less than even your house exterior windows. The main cause for cleaning is what we term as sausage fingers where children attending
an outdoor event put their hands on the glass after holding greasy foods. Even this is relatively easy to clean by mixing water & dishwashing liquid with a small amount of methylated spirits and then applying this with a soft bristle broom. No drying or hard scrubbing is necessary in nearly all cases.

Yes, along with a non-professional installation guide including photos.
Can I Hire tools needed for self-installation?
Yes.For a small fee all tools required can be hired or we can direct you to the nearest firm with a list of needed equipment to buy or hire.
How Long will I have to wait to receive my fencing?
Approximately seven days for it to be ready for delivery ,this is mostly due to all posts being powder coated to order, giving you a better result, we do not use imported pre powder coated posts. Please be aware that all quality fencing outlets will have an increase in order completion times during the peak industry seasons.
